EASIER TO HATE THAN TO SAY GOODBYE

EASIER TO HATE THAN TO SAY GOODBYE

Someone you love must leave you

and in leaving will create a vacuum in the essence of your life --

-- a hole within your soul.

So rather than surrender to the loss and accept the transient nature of all lifetimes,

we choose to find fault, and to stir up a utilitarian, disingenuous hate for that person.

Why must we struggle to profane the memory of being together

with defensive, distorted retrospect,

when we could rise above our reptilian roots

and simply embrace for one last time

while wishing that someone a blessed journey?
