BORN AND BRED OF SIN
every small town is enshrouded in secrets and scandals
behind every great family fortune is an even greater crime
history is written by the conquerors
as disillusioned deities entertain themselves with grinning bets.
truth, justice and equity are worn-out philosophical notions from thick books written by the blind,
and quoted but never fully read -
they make wonderful coasters for afternoon drinks
and their titles evoke conversations which never arrive at any destination or conclude anything.
sad world it may this day be
but if it weren't for sin
not a single one of us could have gotten in
